Following the successful completion of required courses at Cuesta College, the F.E.E.D. Internship course will provide students with a hands-on learning experience on-site at Cal Poly’s organic farm. Students will experience every aspect of a small-scale farming and growing operation, including soil preparation, irrigation, plant propagation, pest management, harvesting, marketing, sales & distribution, and financial management. Students will also meet guest speakers from the agriculture and food industries and participate in field trips to agricultural operations in the area. The internship will focus on sustainable agricultural practices for small-scale operations.
